Filling A Gap In Islamic Studies

Uniquely structured to fill a gap in Islamic Studies offerings in Canada, CIC’s programs bring a unique institutional vision and goals that are not present in Canadian institutions today. It is the first Islamic post-secondary institution in Canada that is epistemologically based in the Islamic Primary Sources (the Qurʾan and Sunnah).

CIC offers innovative learning experiences through programs that are designed to integrate Islamic knowledge frameworks across disciplinary boundaries with an emphasis on the most relevant disciplines of philosophy, history, social sciences, and anchor them to the higher objectives of humanity. CIC programs will prepare graduates to meaningfully contribute to solutions for the complex social, economic, and religious problems that will be faced in the 21st century.

The academic program will culminate in an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies with 5 minors or specializations
